Nature vs. (versus) nurture
The phrase nature and nurture relates to the relative importance of an individual's innate qualities ("nature" in the sense of nativism or innatism) as compared to an individual's personal experiences ("nurture" in the sense of empiricism or behaviorism) in causing individual differences, especially in behavioral traits. The alliterative expression "nature and nurture" in English has been in use since at least the Elizabethan period and goes back to medieval French. The combination of the two concepts as complementary is ancient.

I am thinking, therefore I am 我思故我在
Cogito ergo sum, "I think, therefore I am", or better "I am thinking, therefore I exist" is a philosophical proposition by René Descartes. The simple meaning of the Latin phrase is that thinking proves the thinker exists, or, as Descartes explains, "[W]e cannot doubt of our existence while we doubt … ." If valid it refutes scepticism since to doubt one exists is self-contradictory.

*literature: Literature, in its broadest sense, is any written work; etymologically the term derives from Latin literatura/litteratura "writing formed with letters", although some definitions include spoken or sung texts. More restrictively, it is writing that possesses literary merit, and language that foregrounds literariness, as opposed to ordinary language.
